STEFAN REDFIELD
Stefan Redfield (SHS Class of 2007). Leader, Scholar, All-Star.
Stefan Redfield’s remarkable athletic and academic journey reflects his dedication and
multiple talents. At Sisters High School, Stefan excelled as the rare four sport athlete in
track and field, cross country, soccer, and Nordic skiing. As a two-time team captain, he
inspired his teammates while earning the Will to Win Award, Dedication Award, and Most
Improved Athlete. He secured All-State honors in both the 800m and 1500m, leaving a mark
in the All-Time Top 10 for multiple events, including the 800m, 1500m (1
st
), 3000m, and
4x400m. His combination of athletic, academic, and leadership with groups such as the
American Project also earned him the 2007 SHS Student of the Year.
Continuing his success at Willamette University, Stefan became an All-American in cross
country. In track, he was the Northwest Conference Champion in the 1500m and placed
12th at the NCAA DIII Nationals in 2011. Stefan also received the J.H. Booth Award as the
student-athlete who “most exemplified and demonstrated outstanding leadership,
scholarship, and athleticism.” Willamette University also recognized Stefan as “Male
Athlete of the Year” (2007) and with the Shannon P. Hogue Scholarship for his excellent
work and contribution to the Rhetoric and Media Studies Department. Stefan’s dedication
has led to an accomplished career as a software developer and engineer.
